Hi {{first_name}} -
I recently saw a post in a Facebook group from someone who had lost nearly 15 pounds in their first month on a GLP-1. (Too fast, but that’s not what this email is about.)
She was panicked because she had started snacking at night. Not mildly concerned. Panicked. Asking for advice on what to do to stop snacking.
Her immediate conclusion was that she must be eating too much and needed to cut back even more. Because in the diet world, night snacking or eating after 7pm is literally going to cause you to gain 50 pounds overnight. 🙄🙄
What she isn’t realizing is that because of such a FAST weight loss, her body is triggering every single possible hunger hormone to SLOW THAT DOWN. Her body literally thinks she is starving and going to die, so it is sending every single signal that “YOU NEED TO EAT!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!”. And the body is so good at this, it is impossible to resist.
But when you are feeling hungry or snacky at night, especially on a GLP1, the solution is not to try to fight it. The solution is TO EAT. Not to dive headfirst into a bag of potato chips, but to listen to your body. Because for the first time, for most of us, we can actually start to learn to trust our body’s signals again.
You are not supposed to NEVER feel hungry again. Your appetite is supposed to be regulated, where you are feeling “normal” hunger before meals, maybe after a tough workout, or if you haven’t eaten enough during the day.
If you are losing weight consistently, 2-8 pounds per month, hunger is not a problem that needs to be fixed. And if you are losing 15 pounds a month, you probably need to eat WAYYYY more.
Most GLP1 users are not eating too much; most are eating way too little.
I see a lot of panic about this in GLP-1 users: every sign of appetite gets interpreted as evidence that the medication “isn’t working” or that they’re eating too much.
We have to stop thinking that less food is always the answer.
We have to shift from restriction to NOURISHMENT. That is the gift of this medication. It’s not the restriction; it’s the ability to actually fuel ourselves adequately to improve our health.
It’s no longer “How do I stop eating?”, it’s now “Did I get enough nutrition today?” And that is a complete and total mindset shift from where we have all been most of our lives.
So if you find yourself hungry at night, don’t immediately ask:
“How do I stop eating?”
Ask: “Did I actually eat enough today? What is the most nourishing thing I could choose?”
And the answer might be to get that snack.

Sponsor of the Week

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know how much I love to travel. But traveling with refrigerated medication adds one more layer of planning, especially on long travel days when you’re moving through airports, sitting on a plane, or spending hours away from a refrigerator.
That’s why I’ve been using the Svalto Cooler Pro. It’s a cordless, battery-powered travel cooler that keeps medication between 2–8°C for about 7–9 hours on a single charge, without relying on ice packs. It can also run on USB-C or car power, and there’s a Long-Haul Kit with additional battery capacity for longer travel days.
It’s compact enough to fit in a carry-on or backpack, holds pens, prefilled syringes, or vials, and its battery is under the airline limit for carry-on travel. For me, the biggest benefit is simply having one less thing to worry about when I’m away from home.
If you travel with refrigerated medication and want a more convenient option, use code GLP1HUB for 15% off at svalto.com.
What’s Happening This Week
This week on the podcast, I interviewed fellow GLP1 user Suzy Chase about her journey and how her focus is all about building and not shrinking. We should all be focused on that!
I also interviewed nurse practitioner Sharon Lemoine, all about hormones and how they play a role in your GLP1 results. This was such a great conversation!
Over on YouTube, I posted a GLP-1-friendly shopping trip to Costco and different Items I recommend. This is the first of these types of videos I have done. Let me know if you want more!
Thank you so much for being here! See you next week!
